Sean and Neissa Gallahar
Sean and Neissa Gallahar are passionate about empowering Croatians to use their gifts and talents for God's glory. They individually served as short-term missionaries with the desire and call to serve long term in Croatia. They met in Croatia in 2005, married in the United States in 2006, and returned to Croatia as "tent-making" missionaries in 2010 after completing their masters programs at Indiana Wesleyan University. Sean has served in Christian ministry since 2000 as a teacher and youth pastor. Neissa has led numerous short-term mission trips to Central America, Europe, and Asia. In 2015 they transitioned from "tent-making" to full-time ministry in Split, Croatia. As Global Partners long-term missionaries, they will serve alongside the local Wesleyan church to reach the over 250,000 people in Split, Croatia.
Ken & Dawn Bishop
In 2005 Ken and Dawn Bishop were called out of their North American careers and local church in Albuquerque to follow Christ to minister in the mostly Muslim nation of Albania. After years of seeing limited fruit, the Bishops are now privileged to see believers stepping into leadership. So Ken and Dawn are not only involved with evangelism, community development, and discipleship, but they are now also investing in building leaders who can lead a developing church. The goal is to see a self-sustaining church reaching out into its community and beyond. Along with the local missionary team, they are looking to spread into other areas. Their prayer is to develop other pioneer works among the Albanian people.
We strive to be a church that reaches out to our community through various outreach opportunities which may look different each year. Our outreach has included school clothing drives, Thanksgiving for thousands partnership, parades, Trunk or Treat, Christmas assistance partnership, and a community baby shower partnership. We would love to have you be a part of our next local outreach. Email Michelle Schieferstein if you are interested.
We are a county-wide community outreach ministry of Laurel Wesleyan Church.
